Kelemort Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I'd rather do a butterbody. When it comes down to it, I'm probably going to spend a lot of time looking at the face instead of the body. And a body that isn't perfect can be attractive in that I don't feel like I'm staring at something that was Photoshopped. I'd imagine most people prefer a "butterface."

carhill Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Having been in love a couple times, and having been married, my datapoint is, when I'm with someone I am attracted to and look into her eyes, I don't see her body. I know, cognitively, that it's there, but it doesn't register emotionally as a 'preference'. My exW, who was clinically obese, could be Valerie Bertinelli's twin, looking at her face and eyes; as they are about the same age, people often compared them back when she was younger and 'trim'. I still think she is attractive but know we're incompatible for a marriage, hence 'neither' is the cognitive conclusion to that specific dynamic. So, my significant historical datapoint, and more recent experiences, indicate the choice would be butterbody and a face I could spend the rest of my life gazing at. Thanks for asking
sniffys Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 i made a small poll before w/ men ages 18-29 and only one out of 10 said butterface was his preference ..and this guy has never been laid (hes 29).

But not because I could get them to the gym - let's face it, if they're okay with their body, you can't get them to the gym. I don't know...the first thing I tend to notice is facial features. Probably has something to do with the ingrained desire to make good lookin' babies.
