Are you asking her out ?

No. I notice for class on tue on the course calender we have a in class assignment called "create a image to recommend a class."

Hmm. Maybe recommend my class because the teacher is pretty. If that's my groups image would the teacher be impressed?

Here is an example how my emails were legit. One I sent last week a day before she got mad at me after class about the grades, and adding her to facebook. See it was legit.

Hey. I want to apologize if I sounded harsh, and critical of your grading of my work when I was talking to you today. You didn't look too happy about it. I wasn't upset with you or trying to judge you and your teaching abilities. I actually enjoy going to your class, and think you're a great teacher. I mean I wouldn't have asked you to hangout with me that one time if I hated your class lol.

The reason why I was so concerned about getting the C on that last paper and the lower grade is because I have a 2.95 GPA right now, and I want to get over 3.0 so I can apply for scholarships. The college I'm going to in the fall after financial aid I'll still have to pay over 4 grand out of pocket a year, and my parents don't want to really pay for my education because they're are already helping me out on my bills. So it's important I get all A's this semester if possible!

Sigh....

If it was a "legit" email, there would be no reference to her teaching abilities or you asking her to "hangout" - this is all personal detail and is not needed in a teacher/pupil relationship

/sarcasm on You're doing it wrong, one_goal. When she says no, she actually means yes. /sarcasm off

I had to email her about my current project I'm working on. Of course she has not replied. Figures.

Not this isn't a legit email. This is meant to manipulate her. And your argument for asking for a higher grade is completely bogus. Every student would prefer to get all As, especially in their last of year of the program, as they hope to move on to grad school.

And another thing: she doesn't care whether you were trying to offend her or not or whether or not she looked happy. I had a student once try this kind of stunt of me and you know what I thought: "You immature condescending *******". I don't need my student's emotional support or understanding and I don't want it. Whatever decision I make about my students is a professional decision, in other words, a rational decision. If a student consistently tried to rope me into an emotional terrain, I would put them in their place. Your prof is doing that by ignoring you.

OMG! You've e-mailed/talked to this professor more in the last 3 weeks then I EVER talked to all my professors combined through my 4-years of college. WOW - you are really needy! Or is it just this professor - that you have this much contact with?

If it's only her, then sir you have your answer - you're a stalker/creep.

She has you blocked...

Not that because when I ask her about a email in class she says she read it. Her excuse is that she gets like 50 emails a day. Or so she claims.

Well.. she is hot... She has the whole class emailing her :)

Can I have her email? She sounds really hot.

:lmao::lmao:

I bet you she gets tons of emails from other professors, specialists in her field, trying to woo her with their innovative research.

11 pages later, and you STILL don't get it! *facepalm*

Been thinking about the email some more.

If you're for real, here is what she knows about you:

1) You've shown no respect for her professional status (you asked her out being the major action that indicate this; there are plenty other indicators of this, but you don't seem to pay attention to nuance, so I won't bother pointing them out. Believe me though, she's noticed all of the instances where you failed to respect your professional relationship).

2) You cannot take no for an answer.

3) You want a higher grade.

In her shoes, I might be thinking you were trying to corner me into an intimate relationship so that you could blackmail me for a grade.

Now do you understand why she's being "mean" to you?

Show a little respect for her. Recognize that first and foremost, she is your professor. The fact she is hot doesn't obliterate the fact that you should treat her as a professional.

I know what it is. She thinks you're really hot, so she's too shy to respond.

The grade part is NOT why I asked her out. I asked her out because she's a beautiful girl, and I like her personality.

However her not approving my facebook friend request and her saying she wont add me, is that her way of rejecting me?

I want her to understand I didn't ask her out trying to suck up to her, but I really thought she was a nice girl.

How do I make her understand that I'm not trying to get a higher grade, but really like her as a person?

See that's why I'm kinda disappointed that she brushed me off like that. Maybe she doesn't understand I truely wanted go out with her. I like her as a person and care though. It had nothing to do with my grades.

None of that matters. She wants you to respect her professional status.

Treat her like a professional, someone who has authority over you. Think of her as your boss. She wants you to treat her as a professional. she couldn't care less that you think she's nice and that you like her as a person. She wants you to respect her as your professor.

Question: would you ask your boss out?

If I liked her, yea I'd give it a shot.

Thing is why isn't she respecting me as a student in a professional matter lately? She snapped last Thur on me after class, and wont reply to emails I send her about class.

From what you reported, you didn't approach her as a student. You tried to get her to talk about her "family issues".

She has the authority here. You have to demonstrate you respect the professional relationship first.

And FYI: Never ask out your boss. Bad idea.

But why does she avoid me when asking class related stuff?

But why does she avoid me when asking class related stuff?

Because you made her feel super-uncomfortable, and now you are expecting her to toe the professional line after you completely violated HER professional boundaries in several notable ways (none of which you seem recognize or acknowledge).

Could you give me an example of a class-related question she refused to answer?

Like after I emailed asking her out, after that she no longer replied to any of my emails relating to class. She reads them because I'll then ask her about it at class and she will remember the email, but didnt bother to reply.

She doesn't want to talk about why you've got the hots for her. She doesn't want to date you. She's told you both these things. She isn't interested in any explanation because it simply isn't of any importance to her whatsoever.

Why are you still obsessing over this?

Well because I don't have a girlfriend, and being exposed to a hot, single teacher in class.
