just_some_guy Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 The marriage is over and the divorce is complete. I cried, she cried, we said well wishes for happiness and goodbye to each other. I petted the cat for the last time. The lawyers have agreed, the papers are signed, the check is being drafted and the settlement will be paid shortly. Experiencing a sense of loss over a relationship that went so far onto the rocks, of missing someone, of still caring and loving, but knowing this is best for me. I still feel the pain of a lot of bad things that went down that really hurt me. The suicide attempt still affects me. There's not so much help for the bystanders in suicide attempts. It is still difficult to trust letting anyone close to me, even friends. When I set foot in the master bedroom of our house (now mine), the scene just plays over in my mind. Still haven't made a decision to move back in or sell it. The bad memories may fade over time, hard to say. One door closes, the chapter has ended.

UnsureinSeattle Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 This is a whole new beginning for you, friend.
Author just_some_guy Posted April 6, 2011 Author Posted April 6, 2011 Thanks, it is a new beginning. I need a vacation, need to find something fun to do. I'm tired of personal growth. Just some fun, laughter, letting off some steam would be great.
