I have noticed some of your comments, not just on my posts, but this site is awesome. I am in a low spot and not sure how to deal with my depressed ex (of Sunday) and this site has been amazing.

Hi Zach, i'm Stephen and i'm 41.

 

We are all on the same boat here and have similar stories and can relate to each other. I have not been on for long either, i am new here but listening to other peoples problems and trying to help then seems to detract from my own.

 

For me NC to get over an ex that IS NOT coming back, i know this, just time will help and that's not in my hands.

if i can help someone going through the same pain as myself then i see that as constructive, its the worst pain in the world and no-one should have to go through it.

welcome zach! i too have found so much piece of mind since coming to LS back in november 2010. it really helps to talk to people who are going through the same thing you are. yes - - everyone gets dumped but unless you're actually going through a break up it's really hard to understand where someone is coming from. break ups require empathy not sympathy. i've found that helping other people has helped me to heal as well. i still have a ways to go before i'm completely over everything but it helps to know i am not alone.

was lurking around since yesterday. Couldn't help but register and post that I feel like this has really helped me in the past 24 hours. I've managed to resist the impulse to check up on his online accounts. Progress!

I can't wait to get to the other side and find someone that is as into me as I am them. Feel good about a relationship and not be insecure all the time. I deserve that.
