How common are sexless relationships where it's the woman witholding the sex?

Sounds quite sucky for the guy, as it's probably hard for him to have any porn as a substitute as well, in case his gf/wife see's it and starts nagging him about it or throws it away.

The stereotype is that it's always the woman with the lower sex drive (or no sex drive), but I'd wager that it's actually quite common that men withhold sex or have a low sex drive - especially in these times (at least in the States), when unemployment is so high or people who do have jobs are scared crapless that they're going to lose them.

 

I've pointed out in some of my other threads that I've dealt with this issue - I asked him to reduce his masturbation and his porning-it-up so we can actually have a sex life that isn't barely-there. I'm not jealous of or bothered by porn, and I'll watch it with him, but there's a problem when it takes over a sex life or when my partner just wants oral sex from me and that's it.

Simple solution to this problem is leave the woman. I’d even go so far as to say I’d leave a sexless marriage even if we had multiple children. I’d really start to crack after as little as a few months if there was no good reason for it. Good reason does not include constant unexplained nausea, head aches or just not in the mood depression. I’m not saying you get mad or blame the person its just at a certain point why put up with it, just leave them kindly.

Is this your personal experience? I thought you’ve never been in a committed relationship. I really wonder why you would throw a statistic like this out, I mean were you just kidding?

I have seen far more threads on here from women in sexless marriage having their husbands hold out then I have the other way around. I wonder why it is looked at as a "female" problem far more often.
