DreamerGirl27 Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 I also want to add, that because I have so many female friends (I spent 11 years in an all girls school), that although it's good to have confidence, confidence in your looks is not everything. My best friend used to be a looker and had many male admirers but she was a complete psycho. She was very emotionally unstable, loved to cuss and verbally abuse others that she did not and could not have any long lasting friendships or relationships. In fact, to come to think of it, all the girls in my school who are now part time models or air hostesses, whatever, they all have an 'attitude', incredibly snobbish, has no respect for others and been labeled 'b*tchy" by many. And these are girls who are very confident in themselves. What's wrong with cussing? lol men do it quite frequently, but if a woman does it, there's something wrong with it?
MrNate Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 What's wrong with cussing? lol men do it quite frequently, but if a woman does it, there's something wrong with it? I agree. I've heard some women sling together phrases I didn't even know were possible. Damn.
MrNate Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 If you live in my skin, you'd understand. 90% of girls are like MODELS. It's fine when there's only 10% of girls that are hot around ya, but it's more like 10% only who are below average looking/average looking - that can be hard. But I'm trying man, I'm trying. And if a guy doesn't like me because I have low self esteem, that's pretty cruel. I mean, I won't discard a nice guy just because he doesn't feel good about his looks. I'd still give him a chance. But I guess some won't. Er, Orange, help a brotha out. Where might this location be?
Mr.Cairo Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Er, Orange, help a brotha out. Where might this location be? I second that. And are they blonde? Dark haired?
Author orangelady Posted April 7, 2011 Author Posted April 7, 2011 I'm 5'10 About the negative people thing I used to have a lot of "friends" who got a kick out of putting me down for the way I felt. So did my first girlfriend the one I talked about a few pages back. I cut them out of my life and I am much better off because of it. They made themselves feel better by shooting down my confidence people like that are not your friends and well need to **** off honestly. Guy in your class sounds like a ass. My new friends we can openly talk about how we feel about ourselves and we motivate each other to better ourselves. I have friends I go running with. Friends I do fencing with. I have another friend who's trying to get me into other sports. They are happy people and don't need to belittle others to make themselves feel better. Only unhappy people make snide comments like that guy in your class. He inflates his ego by making you feel worse about yourself. Is someone like that really your friend? No, I know it sounds nasty when read via text but I don't think he meant it that way. It was sort of a wake up call for me. I think he was just really sick of insecure girls. Don't you get tired of them? Also, I think we both misunderstood each other on the meaning of 'negative people'. I think you meant negative as in people who put you down while I thought you mean negative people = people who always talk negative about THEMSELVES. lol
Author orangelady Posted April 7, 2011 Author Posted April 7, 2011 What's wrong with cussing? lol men do it quite frequently, but if a woman does it, there's something wrong with it? I don't think there's anything wrong with it but PERSONALLY, I'd find it quite unfeminine if it's OVERDONE. I mean once in a while........sure...but if you're using it in every sentence....even to ask a simple, "How are you f******?" I don't know. But that's just me. I'm sure guys find girls who swear and cuss a lot very sexy.
musemaj11 Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Why would you be wary of that? When I'm interested, I'm interested. I'm not playing some game. I think men are cynical of women who actually like them and can't believe it's true or something. Exactly, forward women are VERY RARE. Therefore, men instinctively have their guard up when they encounter such women because its not an ordinary occurrence. I encourage women being forward myself but still the very few instances I had women being aggressive toward me I felt scared. The first thoughts that came to my mind were, "Is she a psycho? Is she playing a prank on me? Is she trying to sell me something?"

One of my friends, who is very pretty and had like 15 ex-bfs in the past went after a very quiet but kind man (she already had a son by someone else). She literally said "be my bf" and he accepted. They are very happily married now. Morale of the story is.......sometimes it does help to be less skeptical. Be open. IThe first thoughts that came to my mind were, "Is she a psycho? I know, but as I said its an involuntary instinct. Its like suppose you grew up in the city and then you moved to a small town and you felt weirded out when strangers chatted you up wherever you went which is something normal in small towns where people know everyone.
BeginAgain Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Every time a girl makes an opinion about physical attractiveness of a particular person that isn't a celebrity she should have to post a pic of that person. I find a woman's sense of aesthetics are usually very skewed. Many women found the beatles, elvis, JFK, Bieber, Prince William, and Denzel Washington attractive but none of them are.
