I'm not saying they are exactly alike, but I see more similarities than differences. For instance: -Both are treated better in general -Both can get the opposite sex to approach them, but at the same time many will be afraid to approach -Neither will have a difficult time finding dates(assuming they put in minimal effort) Unless I'm missing something, where exactly is the huge difference between the two?

Seems like a plausible theory, but I admit I'm making wild generalizations.

Women are the gender of beauty. They have curves, and characteristics that are very much desirable. Hot men are like the top 5% of men where as hot women are the top 10% of women.

Well, if the other poster's point is correct (which I think it possible but not certain), I think it's more likely to imply women and men cheat for different reasons than each other, on average, which is likely the case. Men are more likely to cheat because of blatant opportunity. Most women have blatant opportunity to cheat, and aren't drawn to it; I find men that I know are more torn by opportunity. But I disagree that "hotter" males would really be this way, unless they only became hot later in life. I would imagine that hot males, like most women, are basically immune to opportunity as a cheating factor since they've always had it and chosen to be with someone anyway. Perhaps they'd be less likely to settle down, though I'm not sure I'd consider that to be the case. And what is "hot" anyway? Mostly my female friends and I cannot agree on which guys are hottest anyhow. Doesn't personal preference play in a great deal? I would say even more so to male beauty than female beauty.

It takes a lot less for them to look good and impress. A truly hot man is very rare. To be a man who turns heads like a foxy woman you have to be a celebrity (successful and known) and or hit the genetic lottery. There is no female equivalent to Elvis or the beatles etc. But like I said women are the fairer sex and even average women can be considered to die for sexy.

Sometimes when the sky is pitch black, I like to take my dates out on a hill with a telescope and wine, and discuss general ideas of astronomy. The subject never ceases to amaze me but it will never pass through their fluffy heads, devoid of thought. Do I settle for an average girl? Maybe one day...

I'm not going to act like being good looking isn't a plus as a guy but it by no means is like being an attractive woman. I still have to hunt for my meals, I don't get them handed to me on a silver platter like hot females do. I guess I can tell myself too many girls are afraid to approach me but that make my BS meter go off like crazy. I think they just expect me to approach them, regardless of looks.

But as an attractive guy, you still have to make that move. 7 times out of 10 though, the woman is going to want you to talk to her, regardless of her status. They always love to be chatted up by a good looking guy. It's like your attention alone gets them off in a small way. 7 times out of 10. Other women could care less if you're attractive or not. And they turn me on so hard. Nothing like a woman who doesn't lose her composure around a good looking guy.

I didn't think there was anything malicious or overly privacy reducing about it but hey what can you do. I ended up posting my picture on some site called hot or not instead. All the ratings seem grossly inflated though, whether you are carmen electra or a monkey butt.

I met one, awesome, awesome girl who I dated for 2 months but the rest were very sub-par and I never opted for a 2nd date. Every girl who was decent on there had a real superiority complex, my guess is because they were courted by 100s of guys a day. While I was confident I could easily get them in real life, on the net they will rarely respond or act like they are doing me a favor by talking to me. I even got a few numbers but I would be funny and clever with my messages and they'd respond with "lol" or "Yeah I know" so I just quit talking to them. Internet dating really sucks, I'm personally in the process of trying to nut up and talk to random girls I meet out and about, but it's very new for me.

Then again I am basing "hot" purely on physical attractiveness. When it comes to women determining male hotness they use much more different criteria. I am many times left scratching my head in regards to the men women deem to be hot.
