mortensorchid Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 I put a profile up on OKCupid a few weeks back. Results have been limited to say the least. However, I have clicked on the section "Improve Matches" which leads you to a question section. These are questions that are way too personal if not stupid. Some of them are foolish (What's your favorite color? What's your favorite movie of these 5? etc.), but some are just plain rude, turning into a sex quiz. They ask you things about sex practices, and getting quite crazy like about bondage and humiliations and whatnot. Call me crazy, but what kind of insight is this?! You have no idea who is lying and who is making this public just to shock people. Now granted, without getting too graphic, I have experienced people who are into said things, and they are really of a different mindset than the average. I guess that is important in the weeding out process, but how many people are telling the truth, and what's really the point of answering these questions? That doesn't mean you're going to (fill in the blank) with someone you meet online. There's something to be said for keeping a mystery about yourself.
