jean-luc sisko Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 My friend often says she has circular thoughts. As an example, she may think: - I want to lose weight - But I don't get the time to do so - I want to lose weight - I don't get the time to do so And this circle weighs her down. IMO, people who cannot override setbacks in goals succumb to this. I think that if a person is focused on a goal, they should rationalise to themselves that this is the only path and nothing should dissuade them from it.
tommy.is.my.name Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Could be the obsessive part of OCD. If it is its not a weakness. Rather, its an imbalance in the brain and hard to understand.
