What do you think about this? (online Vs. real life dating)

I'm talking more about meeting people, not an actual relationship on the net. The way people act online Vs. the way they act in real life is of course different, there's no denying that. But do you think that in the -long run- people will pretty much be just like they were online? An example would be like so: let's say that you've messaged quite a few people of the opposite sex and you had your messages ignored. It's rather rude to ignore someone in person, so I don't see it happening nearly as much. But in the end, I'm guessing that if they wrote you off online, they'd eventually do it in real life at some point but it would take longer since it's harder to do so. Another way to look at it is that your chances WOULD be better with that person as people may be a lot more wary of others online.

 

You could also say that people on dating websites are a lot different as people than most others that stay off the net and only want to meet people in real life. Online dating seems a bit more difficult than in person so I wanted to see what you thought. What do you think?
