You deal with it the way any man would; you go and find an even hotter girlfriend.

fetish Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 cmon thats just immature. You guys must be in your early twenties. Damn i must really be bad. I'm 30 and i still think that way! LOL
JasonRules Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 cmon thats just immature. You guys must be in your early twenties. Actually I'm in my upper 30s. So if I would have said "You go and find someone uglier", you would have called me "mature"? I was being honest. He should go and find someone who's better in every regard. Physical, personality etc. And I didn't mean for him to go and date someone hotter, just to spite her. Ultimately, who cares what she thinks? He should do it for himself only. I don't even know why he's bothering to even look at his ex or who she's with. Personally, I wouldn't even care to look. To ignore someone is the best answer of them all.

Fufu Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Well you can think to yourself. Oh that's lust, it may not be love after all.
GreenPolicy Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 How did you guys deal with this? Do what I just did: go out and f*ck another hot chick.

Author Mixed28 Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 This right here. That will be very difficult. She is HOT!
Layzie89 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 That will be very difficult. She is HOT! pshh...prove it
Author Mixed28 Posted April 1, 2011 Author Posted April 1, 2011 pshh...prove it you want me to send a picture of us?
Layzie89 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 you want me to send a picture of us? I was just joking man but If you'd like then sure, I'll send you a picture of me and my ex as well, oh no wait...I deleted all the pictures I had of us together, true story. But I know what you're feeling man. My ex is extremely good looking as well...people say to upgrade from a nissan to a porsche and when I see that all I can think of is "What if your ex was already a porsche?" Such is the case with my ex, and yours too. Sucks, but hey...toast to the loves we have and the loves we've lost.

Doesn't matter, just upgrade or find someone else. Its obvious she ended it for whatever reason. Does the reason even matter? The result for me, you, and everyone else is the same. While it does hurt in the beginning, with time things get better and we heal. That's just part of life. We need to allow ourselves a chance to meet someone who wants to BE WITH US.

Not sure going out and landing a hot chick as a rebound is the best way of dealing either. By these responses, it almost sounds like you guys date girls only for their appearances and not for THEM. Because I'm pretty sure just f*cking a hot chick isn't gonna make anyone forget the spectacular non-physical characteristics of their ex.
dmoceri Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Have the same problem. We broke up a little over a month ago. We are in the same class together. (boy that was a mistake). Had class today and she looked sooo good, the rest of the class if full of not so attractive ladies and seeing her looking awesome just makes it hard...I mean the pain and hurt...dirty minds
TryTryAgain Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 My ex is smokin' hot too, too bad her personality makes her ugly sometimes.

Because I'm pretty sure just f*cking a hot chick isn't gonna make anyone forget the spectacular non-physical characteristics of their ex. I have dated a woman who was in Playboy and another who was a Ford model. From a purely physical sense they were very beautiful, but this could not compensate for the deficiencies in their personality. My last relationship was with a girl who was pretty, but by no means a supermodel. There is something to be said about chemistry and the beauty one exudes through their character and their personality which ultimately lasts forever.
depplover_1980 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Jason has just said right at the end what I was going to say. If you don't think it's possible to upgrade on the looks front, then go out and seek someone who shines a bright light from the inside out, someone who makes you smile again, who you're happy around. Someone who you slowly start thinking about more an more. Alternatively every time you see her, just turn your back to her, or run and throw a paper bag over her head!
OhioLaw1987 Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 My ex is breathtakingly pretty...just a very naturally beautiful girl. Yes, that makes it a bit more difficult. But I told myself a couple of things: (1) looks fade; you need to be attracted more so to the person inside, and I know now that she is ugly inside; (2) if I could win over a physically beautiful woman with all these problems, I am sure I can win over a woman who is just as physically beautiful but ALSO beautiful on the inside; (3) who cares? If the only good thing about her is that she is sexy, then she realistically doesnt have much going for her; (4) I decided I was going to try to get into the shape i was in when i played collegiate soccer, and make myself as attractive as possible. The best revenge is to live well, look good, and be happy. And I will tell you what, so far its working. Keep your chin up. There are a lot of lovely women in the world, inside and out, and its only a matter of time until you find one.
betterdeal Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 All my exes are physically attractive in my eyes, including the fat one, the one with third degree burns, the Claudia Schieffer lookalike, the Demi Moore lookalike, the wonky faced one, the blue haired one, and the 15 years older than me one. Lots of women are physically attractive to me. Pretending otherwise does me no good. Just accepting that I like women and not getting all obsessed about it works for me.
Movingthrough Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Everytime you think of her looking so good or being so "hot", think about why she broke up with you and why it ended. Do that enough times and the physical will wear off. I had this problem too and after enough times of re-framing how i looked at her it changed. Reality is you broke up for a reason so keep thinking of that.
