If you mean by asking them questions about what or what they like in addition to what they put on their profile, then yes that is a good approach in talking to a woman on a dating site. Or you can ask them more about their interests they they put on their profile.

Man, sometimes I just want to share my brief online dating experience here but I may just be ran off of the internet if I do that. I found it to be a wild experience. Hey, I guess it works for some people. I even have a buddy who is happily married with someone he met on an online dating site but I would say that this is definitely quite rare.
