Hence the dilemma I'm in...I don't want her thinking that; it's just not true in my case. After a 3 year friendship I highly doubt she would figure you stuck around for 3 years just to bang her. I've dated a number of guys I was first friends with for a while. The two longest were 1.5 years and 3.5 years. I sure didn't feel betrayed to find they had feelings for me. But you have to decide if the friendship or potential for more means more to you, because chances are once you make a move things won't be the same between you two. If she doesn't feel the same way you could lose her for good. That said, I'd say go for it.
