Two months of no contact... a year apart.. now he needs to talk to me???

We broke up at the end of April last year. I took it pretty hard, and after a long summer, I cooled down. Then my best friend started dating him in September, so it felt like I had my heart broken all over again.

 

Saw him at a school function a month later, they were broke up of course, didn't talk to him tho. he stared at me, and watched me walk away (was also wearing the VERY expensive beatles hoodie I bought him :/). I walked away without saying a word.

 

I had gone three months without talking to him, then in December/January we talked here and there. I haven't talked to him since he gave his psycho girlfriend my number and called my parents and said a bunch of crap to them that wasn't true. Haven't talked to him in two months, haven't seen him in five.

 

There's a school event about an hour away from me in two days, and a friend of mine that's HIS best friend told me that my ex wants to talk to me then, cause he knows I'll be there too. :/ What do i do????????????
