chrisl101 Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 I'm 21, and I'm just graduating from college. My boyfriend is 23 and we've been dating for about a year and a half. We met in College when he was doing his masters and so we actually lived in each other's dorms pretty much all the time. I have no doubt that I want to live with him, I've weighed all the pros and cons in my head, the only problem is breaking the news to my parents. I'm worried because I have accommodation settled but it's my uncle's flat and so far my parents think I'm going to be living there alone when I graduate. I will be doing a masters degree so I wont have a job just yet. My parents are very conservative Catholics and they don't agree with living together or even sleeping in the same bed really. I'm just really tired of hiding this from them because I do love my parents and I want to be able to share my boyfriend with my family. It doesn't help that my parents keep saying I shouldn't be serious with my bf. I know they think he's not "conventionally handsome" but he is to me. I need to find a way to make my parents see my boyfriend the way I do and be ok with him living with me..... sorry for rambling.... been thinking about this for months and I'm still stuck. Help?
