Tomorrow I have a very critical test I need to pass in order to move on with my career. It's a VERY high stress test and my girl friend decided to dump me in perfect timing to absolutely pour the stress on. I can't stop thinking about her while I'm practicing, it's like I'm letting her haunt me on purpose to perform poorly. Anyone out here have any temporary mind clearing techniques they use to clear their minds up? I need to keep mine clear for about 8 hours!!! Arghhh

exercise helps me out when im super stressed. try to go for a run in the morning, it helps clear your head through out the day.

I normally exercise religiously. I actually stopped because there is nothing to keep my mind occupied and distracted from her. I also have had a really unhealthy diet lately, eating sometimes, other times not eating all day. So exercise would be detrimental to me right now, don't wanna pass out! Not a bad idea though, might work for others.

When my BF broke up with me over the phone right in the middle of a difficult work week where I was working 14 hr days for 2 weeks, I channeled all the anger and pain I was feeling into my work, because I had to get so much done to meet the deadline. It was only after I was finally done with all the work that the pain really hit me. Try to channel your pain into your work for those hours.
