Fern Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 http://youarenotsosmart.com/2011/03/25/the-sunk-cost-fallacy/ Your decisions are tainted by the emotional investments you accumulate, and the more you invest in something the harder it becomes to abandon it. I've had a hard time figuring out why I couldn't just cut my losses and run a lot earlier. I kinda despised myself for putting up with the treatment I did for so long. This helped me understand that the way I acted was a common and natural human reaction to loss.
lolo1234 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Great article. I love this kind of stuff... I think that if we ever feel like we MUST'NT suffer after a breakup then we are deluding ourselves and even hurting ourselves even more by making ourselves feel bad about feeling bad. Its ok to feel disappointment after a breakup. Even moments of depression and despair are normal.
