A lot of my friends have joined dating websites (and have met some), however... I still want to go out and actually meet men the traditional way (not in bars/clubs). Any ideas/suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thank u!

I don't think there is a traditional way. Either that, or bars/clubs is the traditional way. You're probably not going to get any great new ideas from this thread, just what you've heard a million times before: dance class, church groups, book clubs, coffee houses, volunteer organizations, stuff like that.

For example, I notice you're in cali also, so it might be the same for you, but the bookstore (Borders) in our local mall has a coffee bar, and I have discovered quite a number of singles are mingling there. Reading is a hobby of mine, and I've actually had some conversations with very nice, intelligent ladies there. Good luck to you.
