Sanman Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I figured that this might inspire a few people to the brighter side of things. It is too depressing around here. http://www.afroditeworld.com/long-island-couple-celebrates-70-years-of-marriage/
runner Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 yea i don't know how a story of a married couple is supposed to inspire 'frustrated singles'. unless the thread was supposed to be ironic in the first place.
carhill Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 “At the beginning, she didn’t like me,” John Rienzo said. “She didn’t think I was good enough.” His better half finally came around on her 17th birthday, when he gave her a bottle of Evening in Paris perfume after a stroll through Highland Park. “After a while, she decided I was charming, I was a nice boy and I didn’t try to be fresh with her,” said the husband, who has two children, four grandchildren and 10 great-grandkids with his wife. The two married when they were 23. Longevity is the ultimate success. Inspiring
Mrlonelyone Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 The problem with this is... So many women it seems think now a days that if a man gives them perfume.. shows interest after they have initially rejected him...etc. He's a creepy, psycho, stalker, pervert, looser, nice guy, "passive aggressive", need to get a restraining order, "{insert melodramatic overreaction here}".
carhill Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 No worries. You can help me with the time machine I'm working on
Mrlonelyone Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 You want a time machine... a real life one... Here's a picture of one. You just have to jump in (The hard part is figuring out how to survive the trip). http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/image/0110/bhspin_xmm_big.jpg
Mrlonelyone Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 Just in case anyone thought I was being really negative in my reponse here. Case in point proof of what I say. http://www.loveshack.org/forums/showpost.php?p=3308822&postcount=15 I read your past threads on this situation and your actions are almost borderline stalkerish. Sending flowers and a teddy to someone you are not dating indicates VERY STRONG romantic interest. As for her being able to "smell" you chatting up other girls, she hasn't seen it, has no idea it happened. She can only smell it in your interactions with her because it concerns her directly. IF the guard was BS-ing you - she would be quick to respond to your message and explain herself. She didn't do that. Just learn from this and don't come on as strong in the future. Is that so different from the man in the OP story who did this? Although it was love at first sight for John Rienzo, his would-be wife needed some convincing. The two were part of the same circle of friends, but Louise saw their relationship as nothing more than platonic. “At the beginning, she didn’t like me,” John Rienzo said. Really? My how times have changed. Had I lived in the 1940's I would be married with children by now and my romantic side would be appreciated for the innocent thing it is. Now it's like if you show any interest in a woman ....who you don't make instantly as wet as Noah's flood... I'm a stalker? I give the **** up.
fishtaco Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 The only thing I got from that story was that it involved unlawful contact with a minor.
Ross PK Posted March 25, 2011 Posted March 25, 2011 You need to be able to attract someone in the first place though.
