So I was scared, then he went to Vietnam. Then I was happy... then I realized my trip to Tokyo wouldn't work out (another thread).

I'm happy again. Boyfriend is on his way back to Tokyo soon. I was offered a one week, free stay at my ex-girlfriend's guest house in Taipei, where boyfriend will be joining me.

Sure, we'll only get seven days instead of 9, but it'll be well worth it. We're setting the plans and I'm changing my flight next week.

And don't worry. It will sooo not be awkward staying at my ex-girlfriend's place with my current boyfriend. I really mean that. No awkwardness at all :-D

I'm happier again.

Staying in your ex-girlfriend's guest house in Taipei sounds wonderful. I can understand how this isn't awkward at all. Basically, there is a moment where there is a nod and a wink and that's it.

The only problem I foresee is you juggling attention to your female host while wanting to get busy with your BF. But I'm guessing your female friend will leave the two of you in peace.

Have a great trip.

Hey Creighton, tell your boyfriend to be careful with the water. I just read a website that shows how much radiation concentration they have in water now in Tokyo and they already have Cesium 137 (which has 30 years of half-life). i haven't gone back to Tokyo yet but last time everything looks like it's back to normal. but now this radiation scare...dunno how long will this last.

Nah. I'll say "Hey ex-girlfriend - we want to get busy. See you in the morning?"

It'll be all good. She has her boyfriend to keep her busy :-D

Thanks. He's aware of it and we're both monitoring it. He's staying 2 hours to the east and will pick up a gallon or two of bottled water when he gets to his down (in case the water is shut off again).

Either way, current indications is that things at the plant are becoming more stable and the benefit of a flowing water supply is that purging the system once exposure drops will remove from the system water containing higher, albeit still unharmful to adults, levels of radiation.

Just as long as her reply back isn't, "Can I watch?" :p

Good to hear your bf is safe and sound. I have some family and a few friends there too, they're all okay.
