"I think we should try to become better friends before we get back into our relationship." Which given, I understand slightly because when we first got together we went from being single to "married" very quickly. We always stayed over with one another, I helped with the kids, stuff like that. So she may have a point...but I just keep thinking that she is just trying to be nice. I don't know. Anyone else have a situation like this? We've been together about 6 months.
depplover_1980 Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 A good counter suggestion would be that you start your relationship again, but take it slowly dating once or twice a week - that way you are building friendship and romantic blocks within your partnership. History suggests that being 'friends' doesn't work and it is usually them telling you they can't decide what they want! So by going back with a sensible offer you will get the real answer you need. There is no reason she won't agree to the compromise if she really loves you.

Genius. I will definitely throw that out there. But as of this evening, I think she is already backing down on her proposal. So, we will see how things go...but I think this is a wonderful idea.
