Anyway last night was the first time in 2 weeks we hadn't spent the night. Today he ask me if I wanted to come over and stay but I told him I was going out to the zoo with a friend who I havent seen in ages tomorrow. He kinda just responded with "oh okay". I don't know if he is annoyed? He alluded to wanting space and im giving it to him. Am I reading too much into this?

It seems like you need to communicate better with him and get things more on the same page for both of you. Try telling him that you want to do other things outside of your relationship, since it was brought up that you spend too much time together. Straighten this out so that he doesnt think that youre just avoiding him and that youre not trying to distance yourself from the relationship.
