MM told me today that he is having a hard time with his son. I immediately thought drink, drugs, promiscuity, homosexuality etc. Instead, he claims his son does not take responsibility for anything and it is driving MM mad.

Apparently, his son does what he wants, when he wants and does not care about the outcome. When taken to task he always shifts the blame then becomes defensive when that does not work.

MM is far from proud that he has raised a boy in his image yet cannot see that the kid his aping his role model.

I find this so sad.

Have you ever thought of telling him he is his spitting image and see where the conversation goes?

I tend not judge people when it is clear that they are venting. Sometimes allowing someone the space to vocalise frustrations is all that is needed to regain equilibrium.

I did not have to say anything. He could tell by my face that i found his comments hilarious. Laughing tends to lighten the mood when he is in that frame of mine. Fortunately, my laugh is infectious.

then MM could turn around and say, "then why are you with me?":o

Not sure I would say "i'm with hm". He is not my life. I have other interests. His attention is intoxicating. However, he treats his spouse like s****. I could not seriously want anyone full time that disrespects his SO in such a way. Isometimes resent him for not being honourable. But then realise that his wife clearly does not have aproblem so why should I.

How old is his son?

This is kind of typical behavior in a teen. Far more appropriate for a teen than a MM!

with him, not with him, just having sex, playing around. whatever you want to call it.

point is, why be with someone like that?

but its ok to be with him once in a while? damn, you are giving him what he wants. he wins. he gets to have some on the side without having to worry about you wanting to be with him. He gets to be the jerk and still get you.

bad boys have the right idea. maybe I should rethink how I treat women.

because you wouldn't have a problem either way. how do you expect him to be honorable, when you aren't either?

I don't know your story but can tell it has scarred you.:o

why would you say that? Neveragain gave what I consider anyone would give to you in your situation. He gave an honest assessment of what you are doing. You just said this basically. You would not be with him because he treats women like crap but you will happily f*&% him. The man has it made but yet when neveragain tells you like he sees it your response is basically you are just saying that because you were hurt by someone? Where do you get that conclusion?

Believe me, it's not just hurt people who would see this in your relationship. Everyone would. Go tell a random person on the street that you are F*&^%^& a man who treats women like crap so you would never be with him and oh by the way he is married and see what their answer is to you. Pick a person young enough to not have been a BS and see what they say to you.

You are just another ow throwing around the proud little line of "oh you are just bitter." HOW SAD.
