My girlfriend Nicole can't talk about ex who she got pregnant by?

Is this good or bad sign? My girlfriend of several years has a man she had a baby with. I know nothing about him. I do not know his age even. I assume he is around her age though. I am very much older than her. She has a 5 year old daughter.

 

The man who she had this child with, has never seen the baby since we have been living in the same house together. She does not tell her daughter about him, not that I have heard. I do know his first name is eric I assume his last name is our daughter's last name. Based on this, I have looked through her phone tonight, and see no one named eric.

 

Or anything similiar. I see text messages saying hi but not sure who they belong to. My question is what is going on in her head that she has no relationship with a man she has a child by? Is this good or bad for me. Is this a sign if we have a baby she will leave and have me not see my child or talk to me? I do not want this to happen. She sees a baby and tells me she wants another one, a boy this time. Then she says she will not have one, because she does not want to have a baby come out of her again. I may have one, but I feel I am getting too old.

 

If we have a baby, do you think she will do to me what she is doing to this man?

 

Is it a sign she still has feelings for him if she can not even talk about him? Or is this a sign she never had feelings for him? She said she never loved a man before. That I am her first boyfriend. I tried to ask her a question about him before and she says she will not say anything about him, so don't ask. What does this all mean?
