Author Disillusioned Posted March 22, 2011 Author Posted March 22, 2011 Make sure you enclose some $$$$$ Put a new roof on my house and you have a deal. Moral of the story: if you plan to pull out a notepad and pencil to "test women", then you really shouldn't be dating. Other moral of the story: these women who think money is an aphrodisiac are only going to learn the hard way that being rich ain't always a treat.
ChessPieceFace Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 would you really want the kind of woman who is interested as a result of your money? This. But then you have to realize that almost all women (unless they are Christian missionaries who don't believe in worldly possessions) are going to care to some extent how much money you make. I think that the fundamental issue is what is in the woman's heart (if she has one) in terms of what really matters to her -- things like character, etc. Character doesn't seem to matter to most women. They just like to claim that it does, and believe that it does. OP: you sound about as bitter as I am about the nature of women, so I dunno if you're going to have any success regardless of income or fitness level. Maybe if you're just interested in cheap sex. Certainly being fit and wealthy could get you that. It would be good for you to be fit and more wealthy and have your life together regardless. Just do that and worry about the rest later.
Author Disillusioned Posted March 22, 2011 Author Posted March 22, 2011 Logistically, loosing 100lb and changing one's life around is very difficult. It depends on how much baggage one has. The more baggage, the harder those goals are, especially when other people play a part in it. All of my immediate family members have died, and I have no outstanding debts, so that's 2 less suitcases I have to bring on the plane. Seriously, it will take perhaps several years to loose 100 lb, unless you are doing lipo. Even then, building up muscle mass is hard. You're obviously not a 6'6" male. Back when I was riding 60 miles a week on my bicycle and eating mostly apples, I was losing between 10 and 15 lbs a week (and I was 42). With my trike soon to be ready, I can ride much longer distances (and the trike itself will be a great conversation piece when other riders stop me to talk). My problem last summer was that I didn't stick with my diet and biking. Re muscle... a man's aldosterone controls his metabolism of calcium and nitrogen, and the latter is needed for muscle mass. Very lean meat is almost pure protein which is loaded with nitrogen. It also helps to lift stuff... but the man will need to drink a lot of water to keep from getting kidney stones. Women rarely have this problem. (and if you are, then your artistic abilities alone should be enough to attract women, seriously, many want to be married to the next Picasso)! Now I know that's BS. I puttered around with arts and crafts for 20 years, even started 2 craft businesses, and they both tanked. Never got the attention of any women. Pretty tough to argue with someone who's done it twice.
Kamille Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Other moral of the story: these women who think money is an aphrodisiac are only going to learn the hard way that being rich ain't always a treat. The likelier effect on your future "pupils/victims" will be that they will dismiss you as a potential mate and move on to the next guy. Most people don't waste time on jaded-bitter partners. That's just human nature. And tell me, how are you going to verify that these women are attracted to money and not you?
ivalm Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Now I know that's BS. I puttered around with arts and crafts for 20 years, even started 2 craft businesses, and they both tanked. Never got the attention of any women. Pretty tough to argue with someone who's done it twice. It tanked = you're not very good = you're not going to make sufficient money from art to be "rich" On the other hand, I hope you do loose your fat and gain muscle, it's good for you health and general mood. I'm a bit over 6' and since early January I went form 184lb to 167lb now so 17lb in about 3 months of *heavy* exercise. Even if you loose weight twice as fast, which is REALLY pushing it, it would still take you 9 months... Perhaps it's easier to loose weight when you're very overweight rather when you're at lower weight...
Author Disillusioned Posted March 23, 2011 Author Posted March 23, 2011 Alright then, I won't even try to meet anyone. You win (as usual).
Kamille Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 What about getting in shape for your own well-being? Is that utterly out of the question?
Author Disillusioned Posted March 25, 2011 Author Posted March 25, 2011 What about getting in shape for your own well-being? Is that utterly out of the question? I'll be better-looking and better-organized, but after reading the replies in this thread, I'll stay on strike.
