Would you rather have short or long term relationships knowing they would end

Please think of this as being the dumpee in all of these relationships

So would you rather have a couple short term relationships (lasting no more then 6 months and no less then 2 months) say 6 of them for the next 8 years of your life

or

Would you rather have 1 or 2 long term relationships 3+ years for the next 8 years? Assuming you will be dumped and heart broken

 

The reason I ask is because my longest relationship (2months) ended and my friend said well at least it wasn't 2 years well for me I would have liked it to last a little longer (not 2 years) but I wish it lasted at least 6 months knowing she would leave me. Loved that girl but that's not the point.interested to hear opinions

That depends on the specifics of the relationship in question, but generally speaking, yeah, you're gonna get more attached to someone over two years than two months. Although, even then, most people will realise (if not admit) that the first six months of most relationships is as good as it gets, so maybe after two years, you won't mind being dumped by the person.

Well, as I said, it depends on who I'm with at the time. Every relationship is different. Sometimes the well runs dry quickly, and I'll be glad to be out after two months (possibly earlier). Others might last a bit longer, and I'd prefer to stick around and enjoy it.
