Unbalanced Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Last wed I made plans with this girl I went on one date with to hang out next tues. On wed I originally tried to make plans for Friday but she said she would be having dinner w/ a friend so couldn't hang out. Today, "Friday", I texted her saying "I know you have dinner plans, but if you don't get too full and come to my house after, I have a tasty surprise =]"... by tasty surprise I meant her fav dessert btw! after I sent it I realize how weirdly that could be taken lol..she never responded to it and she has always responded to all my other texts...so idk what crossed her mind, but I feel like I can't text her again until I get some kind of text message from her whether or not it revolves around that last message... my question is, what if she doesn't initiate at all tomorrow or the next day, do I just give in and text her? I realize it was a weird message, but I don't feel like it was weird enough to ruin things lol..am i just buggin out a little too much right now? EIther way, we have been talking a lot since the first date, so I don't want to just give up on her, what do u guys think my next move should be? Its been about 15hrs since that last text i sent...
Good Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Hahaha that is hilarious! Forgive me. I think you should just be honest and upfront about it. Call her and tell her what you really meant, that, well, it's not what she might think it is. That it's her favorite dessert. And not the other thing lol. Tell her what you told us here, that you realize the message could've been interpreted the way that you didn't intend it to. After that is clarified, end the conversation with a different topic. Like how her day went. So that the last thing about the conversation is not the tasty surprise. To bury the hatchet sort of, if you get my idea. Good luck and thanks for sharing hahaha
angelboots Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Hahahaha sorry but i love the mistake it made me laugh so hard and made my day. The creepy smiley face at the end just adds to it hilarity lol Just call her and explain the message, if she has a good sense of humour she will understand then you can both have a good laugh and get on with things
spackle Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I agree with the others, I'd take that the other way as well just say you realise now how that could have come across and creeped her out, make a joke of it and hopefully she will to.
youaretheone Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Hahaha, sorry but I could not help laughing. The best thing to do here is to call her and explain to her what you meant, in a non-desperate and calm way. If she does not answer, you can try sending her a text.
