99 Problems Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 I was dating this girl for a year and a half. Everything was awesome up until the beginning of this semester. After a few weeks into school I noticed she was being rather mean to me. I figured it was stress so I decided to take a break with her so she would have some space. After a week or so she started talking to me again (always holding her cards close). I enjoyed talking with her and decided I would do something for valentine's day (about a week and a half after we started the break). I came up with this amazing idea and carry it out. It worked really well, she was very happy and couldn't keep a smile off her face for the rest of the week. We started seeing each other much more often and this made me very happy. She started staying over and things were (seemingly) getting better. Then after an awesome weekend with her, I get the "we need to talk." call. She comes over and tells me that she needs to focus on her educational and professional goals and that there is no room for a boy in her life. I was devastated, I really love her and was willing to move to whatever city she got a job (as I am a freelance app developer and can work anywhere). She says that she is going to be super busy after she graduates studying for the CPA exam and then she is going to be really busy starting her new career. I want to get back together with her, as she is the first girl that I have had such deep feelings. Is she worth chasing or should I give up? How should I go about getting back together with her?

Don't wait. Just go NC for awhile. Let her realize what she gave up.
Author 99 Problems Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 After reading through several threads it seems like she has GIGS syndrome. I don't know if this is a good thing in terms of getting back together with her.
