I said no and that I would really end up probably being a bad GF. In the end I just told him if I were to accept it and the relationship gets more serious, I might end up wondering off and heart his heart. He looked disappointed and well I wished I had said something else.

Personally, I'd rather hear something like that instead of the tired, overused "any woman would be lucky to have someone like you", or some other crap like that. That's how I see it, anyway.
