Is he (dumper) trying to weasle his way back onto my good side cause he is lonley?

I dated him for 2 years, 1 year of that we were engaged. 6 weeks before our wedding he broke up with me and one of his reasoning were I wouldn't let him do drugs (we have a 12 month old together).

Come to find out he was cheating on me with our old neighbor (she does drugs too). This was over 2 months ago, and she left him 2 days ago (moved 2 states away) he was all hurt and said "life has turned on him" because she moved.

 

well now today he posted on facebook "

todays a new day people i have stopped the drugs, cigs, and booze my life starts NOW!!!"

 

 

why stop doing drugs now? that was one of the reasons he left. Is he trying to weasle back onto my good side because now he is lonely? I will probably NOT take him back, but I don't see why he is messing with me!
