daphne Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I would not suggest you ever tell a woman that you're sorry something you said made her feel a certain way. That's not really apologizing and is condescending (not you, previous poster.) I would consider not making appearance jokes with women you just started dating as a general rule. It's not something that turns on the love light and makes her feel warm and fuzzy about you. Plus, she doesn't know your sense of humour yet and early on it's very, very easy to cross signals with it. That being said, I don't think she's a psycho. She just sounds overly sensitive. It happens. It's very possible that she liked you a lot and the comment had her questioning your interest level in her and made her insecure.
