Hello everyone,

I met this cute guy who was working at a restaurant I visited over the weekend. we talked and when I was about to leave he asked if I'd like to go out with him sometime, I hesitated and said 'probably not' out of habit. He then said it was ok and I left. I regretted saying no the moment I said it and now I don't know if I should just let it go as a missed opportunity or if I should do something?

hate to say it but you have probably already given him the impression you're not available or just not interested in him. Though if you went back there and found him again, one of couple things could happen. He'll either be willing to chat with you like before, or he may be more reserved around you or even try to avoid you. İt depends on the guy.

İf you gave him no impression that you would go out with him, then he may well have moved on by now.

If you go back with the purpose of telling him you didn't mean to say no, and proceed to ask him out, you're going to look like you're a little on the mentally unstable side.

If you go back there for a meal sometime he might well avoid you. If he doesn't, you'll need to bring up the topic of going out. There's a reasonable chance he'll assume the change of heart means he was a backup option and your other plans fell through, so be prepared for a possible rejection. But it might work out so definitely give it a go. You've got nothing to lose.

oh god, talk about overcooking it with the responses

just tell him you are a little reserved and sometimes say the wrong thing when you are asked out unexpectedly. ask him if he is still interested in a drink
