There is a girl who works out at my gym and she frequently stares at me and locks eyes with me. It is odd because I know she is going out with some other guy and I saw her kiss him once in a stairwell at the gym.

One time she and her boyfriend were talking toward me and she was walking behind him and staring at me the entire time she was walking.

I don't want to go out with this girl as she isn't my type, but I am wondering what this means. Does it mean she'd rather date me than the guy she's with, or does it mean that she finds me attractive but wants to stay with her current guy, or does it simply mean nothing?

It seems odd for somebody to stare to that extent. Aggressive. Either she's aggressively interested in you, or she's being hostile. Is there anyone you've crossed recently? Somebody she might know? Are you one of those guys who grunts and groans really loudly while he's working out, and doesn't wipe up after himself in the gym?

I remember this happened to me when I was at the University. There was that girl that would always stare at me and smile even when her BF was there. So one day I approached her and we talked. I found out later two answers :

1- she was bored with her BF

2- she was playing without real intention to go out with me.

Ignore her..

You remind her of someone she used to know and she's trying to figure out if you're him? You have food on your chin? Shirt on backwards? Funny face? :)

What East 7 said.

Inspite of what people will tell you here about the "sanctity" of a "relationship".... unless there is a ring on her finger she's not off the market. As carhill has pointed out latter in life...even that rule is open for interpretation.

Women with boyfriends, and husbands will at times feel initial attraction to other men. They will act just like single women. This is instinctive and beyond conscious control.

She was staring at you, her BF noticed, and they had words about why she was staring at you.

.

Yes and often that is for testing and validating their "value" in the market without any intention of leaving their relationship.

Yep, IME, married and attached women do it all the time. The important part of the dynamic is that they are married or attached, even if only perceptively, meaning they are with another man. Unless it appears they are brother and sister, value and process their 'looks' and other attentions (I've experienced a lot more 'intimate' than 'looks') for what they are: nothing.

Are you aesthetically pleasing? If so, then it happens; especially at a place like the gym or even at the beach. It doesn't necessarily mean she is interested in dating you. You might just be fun to look at. Or you have something in your teeth.

I had a girl do this once, just recently.

I think it's mere curiosity. If she recognizes you from somewhere, she may be trying to "suss you out."

People "people watch", and it's not necessarily because they want to date the people that they watch. It's just human curiosity.

Next time she does it, just make a weird face and creep her out. Should stop her staring at you.

What does it mean when 2 girls grab a guy then demand their boyfriends take pictures of them with the guy holding them all sexually?

Maybe she caught you peeking at them kissing in the stairwell and thinks you're creepy? Does she ever smile or say hi?

That they're still very young and immature to do something like that. They thought the dude was hot (or funny looking, rarely somewhere in between) and wanted to show all their friends just how hot that guy was so they wanted their boyfriends to take pictures of them.

But they'd have to be very immature to do something like that, I'd think.

Maybe they are into three-somes.

No, she didn't see me notice her kissing that guy.

She doesn't smile or say hello, although that may not mean anything in and of itself - she might just be shy or nervous.

in all fairness, it was halloween. still though, their boyfriends gave me some really dirty looks. One of them even told me he hated me.

Later on in the night the 2 girls wanted to do it again.. haha

I saw that girl and her boyfriend at my health club again yesterday. She was in line at a coat check to pick up her coat and her boyfriend was touching her hair. It looked like she was very annoyed with him for touching her hair.

I bet that girl really is just sick of the guy she's dating and wants to move on to a new guy. I suppose that a lot of women will continue to date a guy they no longer want until they find a new guy to date.

It means that she's evaluating her level of physical appeal, and making sure that when the relationship ends, she can find another guy. This is used by women of all ages to also test their boyfriend's willingness to have their teeth smashed in for them, for the right of being with them.

Several things it could mean:

-She's devious and 'wants' to set her bf up in a postion of trust/jealously to see how he reacts. ie, to see if you hit on her, then she can see if her bf 'defends' her.

-She's tired of her guy and wants out. If he's smart, he'll read the signs first (ie..always looking at other guys. hmm, time to go).

-She really likes you/is interested.

-Probably the most viable reason. She's has her "comfort zone" when with this other guy. She knows that it's considerably safe to look at other men when he's around.

It goes another way too. I have noticed when on a date, (and especially if we are having a good time), I get far more looks from women than if I were alone.

Jealousy, interest, and there again too. "comfort zone"

I'd imagine a man would value his GF less upon finding out how active her eyes are.

Well, the guy might be a controlling jerk and she doesn't know how or lacks the confidence to move on, for fear of abuse, etc. She may be afraid she can't find another man, thus she is testing the waters as Mr. Cairo said...looking around.
