tattoomytoe Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 anyone experience this before? when i was 10 or so i was at the dentist, probably getting teeth pulled. i was given laughing gas. well i closed my eyes, and felt like i was sleeping but i could still hear the dentist. i began to tingle and started floating above my body, then over to the side of it, i was watching the dentists work on me. i watched for a moment then went back into my body. it was soo strange!
HokeyReligions Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 When I was holding my daughter's body, just as she died, I felt so unreal and it was as though I was up in the corner of the room looking down and seeing us around her and hearing myself sobbing from a distance. I could see my husband's arm around me, but I couldn't feel it because it seemed like it was someone else. He was to my right and just behind me and I heard him say "sweet dreams baby" as she died but it seemed like his voice was coming from in front and below me to where I was looking. I could see my mother sitting in the breakfast room to my left and I watched her cry too - from above. Does that count? later...... Gawd-- I made myself cry again. dammit. I wonder what causes that sensation? What neurotransmitters are involved? Thinking about how perceptions can be so dramatically changed - even briefly - brings home how profound some mental illnesses are. I just can't imagine being in such an altered state all of the time. I wonder if its something like when we see a carriage rolling by and the wheels look like they are spinning backward?
Author tattoomytoe Posted March 31, 2004 Author Posted March 31, 2004 oh hokey- that is so sad. but yes that does count. my mother had one oce too, and said she was floating in the corner watching herself too. actaully a lot of the OBE i have heard about persons mention hovering in a corner watching themselves below.
Micheal Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 i blieve it theres actully techiques i nmost magic books that seem effective and also ther are many acient stories of armies seeing priests fly above ther heads.what do u think happens when u die ,youre released u dont chage because you are all u know so your the same even as energy
dyermaker Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Originally posted by Micheal i blieve it theres actully techiques i nmost magic books that seem effective This, I'm fascinated by. Most magic books I've come across show me how to like, make a finger ring out of a dollar bill or make matches disappear. Could you give some titles? I'm thinking consignment stores or used book stores, I doubt they print (scribe?) many copies of these leatherbound masterpieces.
Micheal Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 most magic books are called book of shadows they are basic guide to techiques for all kind of things .i like they because theres alot of lost knolegde not known to the general public

Is there no secrecy among witches anymore? Have you personally, erm, astrally projected yourself?
Micheal Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 i never had the patience for it but most say u lay still for a long time and picture yourself leaving your body thourgh your minds eye ,in between your eyes,i guess the visualizing is to direct your energy to the task as in most magic youll find people using visualizing, physical things, words all to help direct energie ,but u should grab a book of shaows for tha exact techique ,i bought one for my ex,but she my ex ,so i dont know right at the moment but im sure there websites for it ,people have been atral projection since the beggining ,and i heard sometimes when u dream u go to the astral plane and can see dead people ,they say the way u know is if they help u or u help them.
dyermaker Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I'm seeking to avoid encounters with dead people, if at all possible. Are there regions of the world, correspondent to the astral plane, in which it's less hospitable to dead people? Like--a creep-free zone?
Micheal Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 im not sur e never doing it personally but you should have nothing to fear the cant hurt u or they would of already theres bad ghost just like bad people ,what do u thibk happens to bad peopl when they die turn to bad spirits, same for good, balance
dyermaker Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 I'm sorry, but since you've never done it, you're not qualified to determine whether or not these ghosts can hurt me. I'll leave such analyses up to licensed necrotravel-agents. Now, how do I know good spirits from bad spirits. And, when I illegaly enter the astral plane, preferably without death and ergo divine judgement, which am I?
Pookette Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Out of Body Experiences I not sure if I believe this or not. I have no experience with it, nor has anyone I know. I would like to try it, unless it involves taking massive hits of acid. All right, that was bad. Sorry. I do slightly believe in the paranormal. But I agree with dyer, John Edwards is a charlatan, just like the Pet Psychic lady.
Micheal Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 all the stories say you frequently enter astral in dreams so bad spirits would of hurt you already if they could and you would as you are in the dream just energy ,not to sound too cracked out
Pookette Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 so bad spirits would of hurt you already if they could See, I don't believe in any of that. I myself believe it is maybe a type of schizophrenia. Many schizophrenics have "episodes" (for lack of a better word) of religious fervor. Bad spirits almost always equal devils, demons - religious type beings. My ex-fiance believed the devil was out to get him. There is almost always a nice, neat scientific reason for everything unexplained.
Samantha16 Posted April 27, 2004 Posted April 27, 2004 quote]I'm sorry, but since you've never done it, you're not qualified to determine whether or not these ghosts can hurt me. I'll leave such analyses up to licensed necrotravel-agents. : Dyermaker said that... I'm sorry, I don't know how to quote. I'll fiqure it out later. I'm Mohawk, and I was talking to an elder about my fear of spirits. He said I have nothing to fear because they can't and wont hurt me. I'm sorry, but how does everybody know this? He asked me a question: Would you rather have a spirit come to you or would you rather have a human pointing a gun to your head. I answered: Well, is the human actually going to shoot me with the gun? Because I'd rather base my desision on that... Just kidding, I'd much rather have the spirit. But I think the people who have seen spirits, like the man I was talking to, would know much more about it than people who haven't. He's had a lot of experiences. So, I'll trust him. I've also heard they can feed off the energy of fear, but that was on a ghost site, so who knows how true that is. I trust the people of my culture, because I think they know the most about this, and they don't fear it. They embrace it.
katy_katt Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 When I was 20 or so, I was laying in bed one time trying to get to sleep when suddenly I felt like I was floating. I opened my eyes and it was like I was really high up, and could look down and see myself sleeping in my bed, and I remember being scared and wondering why I wasn't hitting the ceiling. Yet, as soon as it happened it felt like a giant hand slammed me back down. When I opened my eyes again I was laying back in bed with the wind knocked out of me. Weird. I've tried astal projection a few times and nearly made it, but something would happen and pull me out of that state, leaving me very disoriented. It's a strange feeling once you acheive it.
BlueHeavens Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 I was in a nasty car accident several years back, and I have a memory of 2 points of view of the accident: one, in my Jeep, halfway under the truck that ran the light, and the other, watching the whole thing from above the intersection. It was so fast...I felt like ok, I might die, and then I had this weird point of view, at least 40 feet above the ground, and then the car stopped moving and I was back in myself. I don't know how else to explain it...but I felt like I was safe there, and not alone.
