Overthinking it? Probably yes

I'd still like to hear some thoughts on this. I just don't know how guys' brains work these days.

So a few months ago I went to visit a graduate school in Texas. I met this guy and thought we hit it off but he didn't ask for my number before I left. I figured he was too shy or just wasn't interested.

Recently I went back for an "Admit Weekend" thing and stayed for the week. We had an amazing time and were together basically everyday and it took him awhile to finally make a move but he did on the last night (kissed/hooked up). He admitted that he liked me all along but was too nervous to do anything.

Even after I left, he texted me all the time to see how I was (wish he would've called but oh well). Anyway after a few weeks it kind of dwindled down and now we'll only occasionally text - he does especially when he is drunk.

I do like him and sort of wished we talked more, and not just via text. At the same time I'm conflicted because I'm not sure if I'm even going to Texas.. in fact I'm more likely going to Oklahoma.

Is he just not that into me or is he maybe being more realistic about the whole situation?

And I'll add that I do put in the effort and try to initiate the conversation sometimes too, but he doesn't try to keep the convo going like he did before.
