In about 24 hours I have gotten exactly 2 responses. I guess I'm not surprised because I decided to put all the "filtering-out" information up at the top of my profile. Specifically that I'm separated (not divorced) and I have a special-needs kid. Oh, and also, I'm 50. A young-looking 50 (people are surprised when they learn my age) but 50 is 50. The first response was a canned response from someone in Australia who is already in a relationship. Ehh? I'm in the USA. The second response was a very short one: "Wow, you are gorgeous." That's nice except the guy is 19 years younger and halfway across the country. And how is one supposed to respond to that anyway? I guess I think that these so-called "options" must have a steep curve down after a woman hits a certain age (and/or is of a minority race, or has kids, etc. etc.) I also think that this tilt of options will swap genders after a certain age. In other words, a 45 yo man will have more "options", all things being equal, than a 45 yo woman. But it's not really about the number of options, it's about whether the people are a good match/fit. I'd rather have one excellent "option" instead of one hundred "thanks, but no thanks."

fortyninethousand322 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Yup. They'd be the playboys I mentioned. Forever the bachelor but that doesn't mean they aren't getting any action. The men who are desired by women are desired by a lot of women. And it's in a mans nature to sleep with as many women as possible. These men are the minority but they get enough women for 3-4 men. Which means there are a bunch of guys out there who aren't getting their share. I just have one question for you. Do you not have any friends who have girlfriends? Because I can think of at least 10 guys that I know who have girlfriends and who aren't "players" or "jerks". These are also guys who are all in their 20s.
