Really at an impass. Anyone care to shed some light?

Its a problem with my life and school right now.

 

Here is the whole gist: last summer a dear friend of mine who works for a major music label told me I have an open invitation to their label (a major label) when ever I am ready. He's always told me 'when you are ready I will pass your promo work off to people who need to hear it', but then he gave me the open invite.

 

Alright, cool, but I wanted to make it clear I need to finish school first. I have a 3.5 GPA (one class I had a C in, which I am retaking). However, I am starting to lose focus on finishing school. All I can think about is finishing school so I can move out to Cali, work on my music full time, get on that label and that is it. But still, I pressed on in school.

 

I have to take 6 semesters of a language to graduate. I used to live in Denmark, so I am pretty good with that language. I've been trying to get out of my language requirements because, like I said, I am damn near fluent in reading and understanding Danish. I am failing French because my Danish keeps getting in the way, and I can't understand a word our teacher says. I can't graduate without passing French, and if I fail it will hold up my graduation, pushing back when I can start working on my music full time.

 

I went to take my Danish language test and I found out it is a telephone interview only. Basically, they are testing me on the one thing I CAN'T do in Danish, which is make sentences. I will be able to understand the person, but they will want me to respond.

 

So, now I am screwed. I am going to fail French, and I can't graduate if I don't pass. My GPA is going to be ruined, I won't be able to study abroad and if I keep dicking around with school and not spending time on my music then this incredible opportunity will pass me by.

 

What should I do?

Or... if any mods can move this thread to where ever it needs to go would be great.
