It's probably minor, but I let slip that "I love her", but we're not even dating.

So theres this girl at work, I really dig her, she obviously likes me, but I can't really tell if it's in a friendly way or a more interested way. Anyway, she did a tiny little favour for me today and I replied by saying, "Thank you, I love you", wasn't even thinking when I said it, it just popped out.

She might have just brushed it off though, I was in front of others at the time, and I generally act goofy when in front of others, I'm only serious if I'm alone with her, not sure if she realizes that though.

I suppose it could be yet another little hint that, "Hey, I like you eh".

I think you are saved by the fact you normally act goofy, and you were in front of other people. Don't worry, and just observe to see if she acts differently around you.

I tell people I love them all the time for doing favors for me...I try to keep it to the girls of course so no men get the wrong idea, but I've slipped with guys before because of how frequently I say it to women - "Ohhhhh - thanks!! I love you!! You're the best!!" stuff like that....it's never serious...I blame my waitressing years for such things. Update? Has she acted differently?

Eh...I'm certain she'll simply hear what she wants to.

If she has romantic feelings for you, that was probably a big neon sign and she's sitting at her desk right now thinking "omg what if he meant it? Could he have meant it? Nah...surely not. But what if..."

If she's not, she simply heard "thanks, you're awesome". =P
