Drausin Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I'm in college, and there's this girl in my choir that I've had a crush on since the beginning of the semester (so mid-January). I've approached her, found out that we have similar interests, and she accepted my Facebook friend request about a month ago. However, I was crestfallen to see that she had a long-time boyfriend, so I didn't talk much to her, save a few random times when we happened to leave choir at the same time. However, I checked facebook, and it appears (to my luck?) that the two just broke up. I would love to go up and talk to her, but when I did in the past, I felt like she would think of me as a stalker/creep, and I didn't want her to think I was trying to break her and her boyfriend up. Thus, I was sorta awkward when talking to her, and I still feel awkward to just come up out of nowhere to try and have a conversation with her. How can I get to know her better without looking like a desperate creep? Do girls like direct guys? We don't share any classes other than that choir class. Can I make an excuse to wait for her after class so I could talk to her, or would that be seen as too creepy/over-the-top? I just want to talk to her, and maybe make a move in a few weeks (so she can get over her old bf). Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks so much!
blackmagik Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I would say move in now, who knows what the situation is with her exboyfriend. One thing you never want to bring up is the ex, that is a major pitfall in early relationships. Let her bring it up if there is anything to talk about. Most women like the man to be direct and not play games. Tell her you would like to take her sometime, this would be a good way to gauge interest. It may be hard though since she did just break up with her boyfriend.
