So its been almost 2 months since me and my ex split up. I just found out recently she is officially in a new relationship with some guy.

About a week after the breakup she was seeing him already. Now she saying things like how hes the best ever and all the good stuff. So the question is did she leave me because of GIGS or is it a rebound?

I was comparing if the "symptoms" match GIGS and a rebound and they both mix in well together. Break up was out of the blue, she said stuff like "it doesn't feel the same no more" and all that crap. Now their together after only seeing together for a month. This relationship is going pretty fast if you ask me lol. She didn't even say all that crap to me till about the 2nd/3rd month mark.

The reason why im writing this thread is because, obviously I still have feelings for her somewhat, I'm over all the hurt and the pain, and Ive been in NC for about a month. I want another shot at a relationship with her. is there a chance if I keep sticking to this? Sure it hurts seeing her with the guy, but I act with indifference. When she talks to me or looks at me I get this funny vibe coming off her lol. (We both work together so, we keep it LC at work)

So whats your input?

Showing her the attitude that you're okay with it all and seemed to have moved on is the right thing. Even if she has moved on from you there will still be something there and seeing you acting okay will affect her in some way. As for will it bring her back, well only time will tell on that one. As someone who has been there recently all I can say is continue doing what you're doing and try to focus your attention elsewhere. Start showing interest in other girls or at least talking to them more.

You should ask yourself, would you really want her back after she left you? Is she really now the same girl you fell for? Could you be with her knowing all what has happened? Could you trust her?

well it really depends on what her explanations and what not are. If its not genuine or sincere enough ill prolly shut her down even if she came back.

I'm in a similar situation as well... and all my friends keep telling me that she is crazy for leaving me and that she is going to regret it and come back eventually.. and they keep telling me that I should never take her back after leaving me and dating almost immediately after the breakup... Right now I can't see me taking her back if it came down to it, but it all depends upon how truthful she is about everything and why it happened, and of course, where I am at that point in my life.

She is trying to find things that make her happy and doing what she wants to do. What do you want to do?

OP - Your situation is identical to mine. I constantly wonder if the new relationship will fail and if they will come back. After 2 months they are even living together.

It hurts like hell to hear about them even using the same pet names etc. The new guy is just different to me (not better) and I really can't see the attraction.

All I can do is try to accept that I still love my ex, and that the door is open if they want to come back (obviously I can't tell this to anyone). This way I am not breaking the promise true love brings (never give up) but I can get on with my life.

wooaah update its been a looong while lol...

so ever since my last post me and my ex are in good terms, with LC. But she noticed i changed a display pic of me and a girl (nothing going on between us were best friends). Then she changed her display pic 2 mins later to her and the new guy. I was like wtf, as if. As for my situation right now, its been 2 months since the breakup, im starting to feel really good about myself and im taking better care of myself, im going back to the old me from before i met her and im back feeling stronger than ever.

yeah just ranting, i was surprised. what you guys think now haha ?

Damn, Kid. You're pretty abrasive. lol. I guess the truth does hurt tho... but... damn... straight cold...... ha

Keep yo head up bro, we're all goin through some ****z. Don't know the outcome, but the stats of co-inhabiting couples surviving is LOW! if that helps?

They're geeked right now and yes that was fast. lol.

Kid,

Your ex girlfriend broke up with you to be with this guy. She didn't "meet" him a week later. She knew him beforehand. And you don't get in a relationship with someone one month after you were in a relationship. This guy is not a rebound. He might be GIGS, but does it really matter anyway?

If I found out that my ex dumped me for another guy and was with him immediately after, I would never want her back in a million years even if she came back on her knees crying.

My suggestion is to forget about her entirely. In fact, if I was in your shoes I would try to find someone much hotter. Nothing like upgrading from a Nissan to a Porsche...
