tb24 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Ok I know 6 months is quite a long time but I'm moving over a hundred miles for university. I wouldn't want to live there and have a girlfriend here. What do I do? I don't just want to stop any potential relationships before they start, but at the same time I don't really want to get into a relationship with a deadline. Firstly it's not fair on any potential girlfriend, secondly it'll make me question whether I should go ahead with it and I know that's not a good thing. At the moment this is acting as a mental block to me even trying with women, and that's not helping me feel good about myself at all. I know, it's only 6 months and doing a PhD is something I've wanted for years so maybe I should just reside myself to not dating for 6 months? I don't like it but it might be my best option Any ideas?
anne1707 Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 100 miles is not that far if you meet someone special. Do you have a car and what are the rail links like between where you live and where you will be studying?
