Still fairly new here, so I hope this isn't off topic.

Since I'm a newly singled full time father, I've come to the conclusion that my daughter needs me around for as long as I can hang. Seeing as how I'm obese, I better do something about it. :)

At work, my co-workers and I just started an in-house biggest loser contest, and we've split off into teams for a friendly competition. They just did a singles competition, and it was a lot of fun and no hard feelings came from it, and from 7 people participating, average weight loss was around 17 pounds over 4 months. Not bad. (I did not participate)

The winner of the last contest is my partner, and he is a fitness buff with a lot of nutritional knowledge. I feel confident about the success I can have. :)

So, I figure since I'm discussing my other issues on this forum, might as well post out my travel down the weight loss road.

For those curious, we did our weigh-in this morning. I'm sitting at 350 exactly. In the military at my ideal weight, I was at 260. My goal is to lose 60 pounds over the next 6 months.

And, here I go. :)

Good luck!

Have faith in yourself and stay true to your goals. Always think of your daughter! :)

YOU CAN DO IT!

You can do it!!! The feeling of accomplishment will be euphoric once you reach your goal. Your daughter will be really proud of you too. :bunny:

I guess in my tired state when I posted this, i didn't notice there was a weight loss forum section directly under this one. :o

If theres a mod watching, perhaps you could move the thread for me?

My apologies.
