We are talking marathons, triathlons, sports academy, athletic scholarship for college, yoga, etc... She is the real deal a full blown athlete but is quite feminine. Now I am pretty fit but I am nowhere near as fit as her. She is in amazing physical condition. Quite frankly now that I know this she intimidates the heck out of me. I am funny and charming with her and was fine until I found this out. I am perplexed, I can see her with another athlete but not a guy like me. What would a woman athlete want from a regular fit guy?
Imajerk17 Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Yes. Just be the guy you were with her before you found this out. Be impressed with it but not intimidated. If it doesn't bother you it won't bother her. How would you have reacted if you found out she was the tiddlywinks champ and her title means a lot to her? Act similarly.

TuesGirl Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 As a former D1 athlete, I can definitely say that sometimes it's just nice and relaxing to surround yourself with people that have something to talk about other than 'sports/fitness/calories'. In both of my serious adult relationships, I can say, without a doubt, that I was the bigger athlete and it never, ever bothered me at all. I think people like others for how they feel when they around them. If she likes you it's bc she feels good when she hangs out with you, not because she can outrun you And think of what you bring to the table that she doesn't have. For example, I am computer-stupid and my last boyfriend was a whiz at that stuff. I thought it was so awesome when he would show me how to do cool things on the computer. My boyfriend before that was a chef We all have our plusses and minuses....
phenotype22 Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 I have to say that I would be somewhat intimidated as well, but at the same time, I find that a fit, athletic woman is just hot. Enjoy it, man, esp. in this day and age when over half the population is overweight.
