mo mo Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 ... creep me out. They will follow you around in the threads you post in and try to strike up conversations. It's especially weird when the person somehow knows you are looking at a certain thread and he or she posts before you get a chance to post. Is there a way to file an Internet restraining order?
lululucy Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Is there a way to know when people are looking places?? Maybe you have a psychic stalker. After the 'net restraining order, file for a telepathy one too.
SmileFace Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 your a loser if that creeps you out. it aint stalking, dimwit. Ow, someone has a fan!
lululucy Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 What does this have to do with dating? Internet stalking as foreplay?
SmileFace Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Internet stalking as foreplay? Haha , it is like pre-sexting. lol

You can't be serious. If someone is following me from thread to thread. They are stalking me. This is a public forum for Jezbus sake. If I publicly demand you not read my threads , you should not.I demand that it be known - stop stalking me! Some people are so vapid, GOSH!! Bwhaha , I am not serious.

Have to agree with this. If you look at a FB friends page...which they have specifically granted you permission to see by accepting a friend request... you are stalking them. If you send one too many text...you are stalking them. If you look at them while they are standing in front of you in line for coffee at starbucks... now a days you are stalking them. It's enough to make a person want to get a shack in Montanna and just send out very angry letters and packages. Now if someone sends you one of those...they are stalking you.
irc333 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Yeah, women are so big on throwing out the "stalker card" immediately. Sometimes in a joking fashion as well. In Jest. On MySpace there's actually a modification people put on their profiles that replace "add friend" with "stalk me". lol (no joke, this is on the Myspace site, lol) But it's only "stalking", if she doesn't find you attractive. 810 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 didn't see this thread before I posted mine. i guess i vented at the wrong time in LS today.
Kamille Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 This just happened. I open thread titled thread stalkers and find out that mo mo is such an interesting poster that he's even got his own LS stalkers now. Congrats mo mo, welcome to LS! But then I ask myself... Who is mo mo and what has he done to deserve a LS stalker? So I proceeded to... stalk mo mo.
Nexus One Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I got a huge shock when posting on a forum once. Back then a female teacher at my high school once asked me what websites I visited regarding a certain topic, because she wanted to help out a fellow student and share those resources, at least so she said. In one particular thread however I found out it was her replying to my thread, ending her reply with "xxx". I nearly shat my pants and thought "WHAT THE F*CK".

It's especially weird when the person somehow knows you are looking at a certain thread and he or she posts before you get a chance to post. Is there a way to file an Internet restraining order? It creeps me out too... intransitive verb 1 : to pursue quarry or prey stealthily 2 : to walk stiffly or haughtily transitive verb 1 : to pursue by stalking 2 : to go through (an area) in search of prey or quarry <stalk the woods for deer> 3 : to pursue obsessively and to the point of harassment OP, I find that those who take issue with "stalking", most are in fact stalkers themselves. Some with non malicious intent, some with malicious intent. Personally, it is difficult to determine intent, so I take it all serious. Many of my friends on LS have been stalked to the point of seeking extremely personal information. Everyone has a right to a safe internet experience free from harrassment, that is the law BTW:)

fishtaco Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Yo mo mo. How's it going? How's your Audi running? That's a good car. I haven't talked to you since yesterday. Seems like forever. You know what we should do? We should start a thread together. I think that'll be fun.
SmileFace Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 throwing the term around on here like this is a joke. Yeah that is the point - it was a joke
Kamille Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Now I'm so fascinated by mo mo and his stalker that I'm tallying up a list of potential stalkers. So far, the suspects are: Smile face, Nexus one, fish taco and Colonel Mustard, with a chandelier, in the billiard room.

I once got contacted by a guy on a dating site - to only find out he was my teacher - good thing it was an online course.
Nexus One Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 did you lay down pipe? Damn straight I did, f*cked the living sh*t out of that floppy b*tch. No just kidding. I was mostly shocked and perplexed, even more so because she was also a student counselor, however I never got counseling from her, but I felt that at least once she made up reasons for me to come up to her office. Nothing ever happened, but it did unsettle me somewhat. Thank goodness it didn't turn out like it did in that movie 'Easy A', where a female student counselor slept with a student and got him an STD, after which the entire school found out.
