LifesBeachy Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Well, Finally met the older guy today... What can I say. He was pretty much like I expected. He was such a real gentleman! Drove 1 hour up here. took time out of his life to school me one-on-one in the foreign language I am studying... Paid for my meal. Held open doors and walked me to my car (and opened THAT door for me---that's a new one...). I liked... I reeeeally liked. But what's the catch?? I'm totally confused!!!! I don't know... it all just doesn't parse. I was driving home with question marks over my head. I feel guilty about it. . . He definitely wants to see me again.
Titania22 Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 The catch is that even though he will probably be gentlemanly and move slow, he is still most likely going to be looking for the green light to go further. I had a few older guys pay me lots of attention a few years ago. I kept saying 'just friends' and they never got kissed or anything, but something in them thinks if they hold out long enough that will change. All except for one guy friend 'the exception to the rule'. If you are feeling guilty though, this guy is probably not the exception.
