Me and her were friends b4 they met, he didnt like her having a lot of friends slowly cut back, now she has no friends and says he is the only person that she needs in her life, none of her friends hve talked to her in 3 weeks or more, i am at the 5 week mark. I feel bad for her, i hate seeing people mess up their lives.
Arabess Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 Well, if she thinks she is happy, then there is nothing you can do but let it go. Some guys ARE possessive about their gf's having other friends. I don't agree with it, but if she does, that's all that counts. I don't think there is anything you could or should do unless you really saw that she was sinking in a depression or was in emotional harm.

What is most disturbing is that i am kinda friend's with her bf. Its just kinda depressing, there was a point where she told me that she had platonic love for me. Her best friend feels the same way i do about the whole thing.

If she's giving you innuendos (especially when she's drunk because her guard is let down), then she's reaching out to you about it. If her boyfriend is that possessive to where she can't even come to you and talk to you, then that's pretty bad. I can see where you feel stuck between a rock and a hard place with being friends with the guy, too. Although that may be the case, she is the one being consumed by him, and she is the one that has indicated she isn't happy about it. The best thing...reach out to her and let her know you are available to her to talk with. That's about all you can do.
