three Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Back-story: My ex and I broke up a while back. It was a horrid breakup. Now things have settled but there is definitely some tension left. A few days ago I had a work meeting and she happened to be there as well. I acted as though she didn't exist, and talked to other people. After the meeting she sends me a text message reading: "Hey I meant to say hi at the meeting. Hope ur having a great semester!" I was really surprised that she sent that since there had been a lot drama in the past and she had treated me quite badly. I chose to ignore the text at first, assuming it to be another one of her "attention-seeking" tactics, but one of my friends suggested I be polite to her since she was as well. So, 2 days later I reply with: "Thanks, you too " I thought it was rather ridiculous to reply 2 days late, but I guess being polite is important. I don't really understand why she would contact me, and although I would like to be friends with her, she can be very manipulative. I'm not sure how to proceed with this. Should I just drop it, or is there another path I can take? Any help would be appreciated.
salem mark Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 forget her, and why would you want to be friends with someone who treats you badly?
