I'm #1. I'm a size 00 and under 100 lbs (however I'm 4ft11"). My boobs are small (size 30A) but it all looks in proportion to my body. However I am super anti social so I still don't have success with men since I'm not really friendly and don't like to talk to anyone.

I agree that men are naturally attracted to the body types you listed. It's ingrained in their bran. Most guys are attracted to an hourglass body more than mine; I'm talking body types like Kim Kardashian etc. big boobs, big butt, tiny waist.

My ex best friend has a body like that, her waist is the same size as mine (around 23-24) but huge boobs and butt (natural) and she causes traffic accidents when she walks.

I will get attention to, more than pear shaped women or obese women or women with more weight but the hourglass 36-24-36 will generally always get the most attention.

It has recently come to my attention that more women will settle for a guy with a flabby body than men actually settling for a woman with a little flab. Is this the new double standard?

Scientifically, unless a woman is genetically prone to being skinny, her body has the capacity to store more fat thus giving her the infamous apple or pear shape frame. Guys, especially those who work out, has the capacity of reaching single digit body fat percentage, thus giving them the toned look often associated with noticeable ripped abs and biceps.

I'm just incredibly curious as to why women are judged more for their bodies than men? I mean, I'm certain society perpetuates this ideal, what with playboy bunnies and glamour models ( especially in the UK) etc, but is this really ideal or are we are just further adding to the poison that unless women are a certain size or shape, they aren't really anything at all?

I mean, I'm certain society perpetuates this ideal, what with all these Nice Guys complaining about the games girls play, and how women always seem to go for jerks who don't take no for an answer. But is this really ideal or are we further adding to the poison that unless men act just a little pushy and cocky, then they aren't really anything at all?

It doesn't seem fair to me! Waah! Waah! Waaah!!

Personally I don't want a handsome rich man with a six pack because I think they are more likely to cheat and I don't want to compete with other women for someone's attention.

I picked a guy who was unemployed at the time I met him, lived at home. He was decent looking though and tall (5'8) lol, thin but not buff at all. I am Asian so a guy that is 5'8 is actually tall for me and I live in California. He still ended up cheating on me (it was during a 4 day break up but I still count it as cheating since prostitutes were calling him constantly while we were together constantly - and it was with a street prostitute and he got arrested for it) and on top of that he was abusive.

Even so I don't want guys that all the other women want (Tall, good looking, rich) because I know I would not able to keep him. I know I am attractive, a size 00, etc however I am boring and not that fun. I wouldn't feel safe with a guy that all the women want; it would make me insecure.

As i said most women are attracted to the same small group of guys but settle out of insecurity or because they cant do any better

Guys preferred 'types' are simple, and break down into these categories (and a few others.)

1.) Slim, fit woman, proportional body.

2.) Curvy, fit woman. Large breasts, butt, and hips.

3.) Slim, fit woman. Large butt that is out of proportion with the rest of the body.

4.) Slim, fit woman. Large breast that are out of proportion with the rest of the body.

I love #2, and 4. The girl that I mentioned previously is a 2. I got excited just thinking about her. Damn I need to ask her out on Monday, if she actually shows up to class. Very rarely do I feel such a strong sexual desire for a girl.

Yay, I'll have one more rejection to add to the pile :p

My last post was sort of a joke, me being a well, jerk. Seriously tho, I do value looks and a hot body, but I go for women who are curvy and athletic. I'd probably never notice an extra 5 pounds, and if she wore it well, I'd actually appreciate it.

Ladies, we guys are much more "big-picture". The things you are obsessing about are likely things we don't even notice.

As a guy, I like 1, 2, 3, and 4.

As example of the popular types:

#1 - Hayden Panettiere.

#2 - Kim Kardashian.

#3 - Jennifer Lopez.

#4 - Diora Baird.

All have different builds, but I like them all.

I don't like Hayden's build at all. I like Kim and Jennifer; however I like Kim's the most. Don't know who Diora is and too lazy to google.

I would say the majority of men prefer the Kim K body, maybe boobs and butt not as big as Kim's but the HOURGLASS is ULTRA important; boobs and butt but you gotta have flat abs; the waist has to go in a lot. I am speaking from experience, my friend has this build and it literally stops traffic and she gets attention everywhere.

I see your number 4 and I counter with Hitomi Tanaka!

5'1, ~110 lbs (can't find her weight anywhere) and an all natural 42H !

Needs to tone up more; I am not a hater, just noticing she has no muscle tone. Doesn't need too much muscle but a little. Kim K works out every day (Barry's Bootcamp, I actually read her twitter) and she is toned.

The girl has the measurements but will look better after toning up... Also legs are kinda big...

Face is not that great; I see much better looking Asians every day at South Coast Plaza.

She has huge boobs, but to be honest, her waist doesn't go in that much; she also has love handles. My friend (sorry , no pix but I'm telling the truth!), her waist goes in a lot more, it's more hourglass.

Also, Kim K's body is more hourglass then this girl. Yea Hitomi's waist is smaller than the rest, but not by much... The girls who I think have nice bodies have MUCH more of an hourglass proportion. Hitomi's stomach isn't tight...

I think her legs are fine. Her face isn't the hottest but I still think she's really cute. Obviouslly her face isn't her main selling point.

You do bring up an interesting point about her muscle tone. I noticed that a lot of Asian models don't have any muscle on them. I think it's part of their culture.

BTW, just want to point

out

Kim Kardashian has a great body, but she's a thoroughbred whore. Unattractive.

Face is even worse in the Youtube vid than still photos.

"Asian" asian models don't work out. However Americanized Asians do. Here in the U.S asians, just like white folks are into fitness and being toned is very in.

What age group are you talking about?

This might be true for the 40 something crowd where attractive women are fairly rare... but for women under 40 they are just as shallow as men if not more shallow, because they care about your bank account too.

From what I see around me... younger women simply won't date overweight men. Even really fat girls won't date fat men.

I think the real reason more women end up with overweight men is because while over 60% of women in the U.S. are overweight... a staggering 70% of men are overweight. I think that 7-8% gap is the primary culprit.

Also if men were so absolutely shallow that they couldn't accept an overweight woman... that number would be closer to 30% instead of 60%.

On the contrary. You'd be surprised how much fat-burning exercises the Asian models do.

They just don't do muscle-building ones because it's considered 'unattractive' for a woman to have muscles there.

This is kind of hilarious to see in the same thread where people are picking apart photos of women.

I so agree.

Recently I saw an episode of Sex and The City. I hadn't watched it for over 10 years.

What struck me (apart from the production values, a couple of ICCKKY storylines and how gorgeous Mr Big was!) was:

The absolute unfounded but CRIPPLING insecurity of the women, even though they are all SO beautiful and talented in the story. I was quite shocked when I noticed this, which I didn't first time round BTW, but I was young, lol.

Maybe whilst men feel able and women just comply with it, see the whole thread, the ratings of 5-10, "hot" chicks and all that insanity....

actually, all my male friends only fancied Charlotte because she was pretty and had nice curves. they thought Carrie looked like a horse, Samantha was too old and Miranda was too much like a man

it reassured me that while men can be accused be of shallow in some ways, they don't give a damn about how much you spend on shoes :)

Posted (edited)

Well to my mind, thats men being shallow as described and part of the problem, as is women's insecurity you could add (though perhaps a chicken and egg situation).

Maybe Carrie or Charlotte, or whoever is not their "type" though I bet in real life if one of them offered to buy your male friends a drink, they would probably faint. But thats not what I meant!

What I was referring to was not that - just in the general dialogue and story - their crippling (I-mean-watch-it-through-hands) insecurity.

I'm not talking about shoes (part of the insecurity perhaps?!) Watch it, and suffer

As a guy, I can echo this sentiment. There is no mystery to any man who watched this show as to why these women were single. Most of us put them in the "Date from Hell" category.

I actually used SATC as a basic screening question. I'd ask women about the show, and if any of them said they liked it, I would pass on dating them.

that's because they were neurotic and insane

I think the posters here were just talking about the physical appearance of the characters, not their personalities.

If you'd turn ANY of them down solely based on physical appearance, I daresay you're either delusional, a Brad Pitt lookalike or a Donald Trump... or permanently single ;). All of them definitely look above average, and the only men complaining about their appearance would be pimply teens thinking they deserve Megan Fox.

If you're turning them down for personality reasons, though, I'll say you're sane. :lmao::p

I knew this should be a separate post lol!

But I stand by what I said. Their crippling insecurity. Its a bit insane, yes, I don't always like their character storylines, though they are generally trying to "do the right thing", albeit a bit self-absorbed. But look at the posts on Loveshack re. insecurity..... Its not so different, really ....

P.S. "horse ... old ... masculine", no wonder they're bloody insecure... who'd be an actress?

Oh, I think you're exactly right. That's what made them so unattractive. What man would want to endure their ridiculous expectations and delusions?

In their own right each of those actresses is attractive, but when you plop them into those character roles... most guys don't like them.

Cattrall is very pretty, but in that character she is an old pig.

SJP... it's hard to separate her public persona from the show. Most guys pretty much consider her to be a transvestite donkey witch, because she publicly treats her husband like crap. Actually... I think that is the primary reason most guys just don't like her.

Helen Hunt was not the prettiest woman on TV, but I really liked her movies. There were times when she was really sexy. There are plenty of women on TV that have a similar mojo.
