It's also been argued that men with a particularly excellent physiques are more likely to be chosen as flings than long term partners. IOW she'll suddenly cheat if he's really really hot. Not that this doesn't apply the other way around too.

Second pic - I like her face, hands, ankles and feet but otherwise I'm unconvinced about the rest of her body.

In general I'm unconvinced by plus size models mainly because of all the size zero bashing that resulted from it. I'm not their target audience and even though I think that we do have a real issue with eating disorders, I don't think this is one flag I'll be waving.

And they carry it well. These women, I'd give the time of the day if I were desperate enough or possibly totally gone outta my ****ing mind off of some Henny. Anyways, the shallowness goes both ways. Women didn't really get crazy over me until I got in the best physical shape of my life. Since then, women want to cheat on their boyfriend with me, some go on breaks with their man just to try and pursue me (happened with a chick I was trying to **** since 12th grade, now the tables have turned LOL), and over all, women are more inclined to want me. If that's not shallow, I don't know what is. I'm the same way though. I need -a pretty face -a nice body (ass, tits, hips, thighs,) -long flowing hair (preferably) -not pasty white skin complexion But these are all subject to exceptions. Basically I'd smash any hot chick. The 2nd to the last woman I was involved with had short short hair. Tomboyish. It was still grabbable, and trust - it was grabbed lol.

In my opinion she's one of the few exceptions amongst celebrities that still manages to look (somewhat) top tier with such a body type and such large breasts. Her face, red hair, pale/milky skin and clothing style help a lot. She does show a lot of cleavage very often though, but manages to maintain a classy appearance overall. Perhaps I should add her to my wall of excellence as a candidate for my harem. Perhaps she can make it baaaaarely. Ponders, ponders, though decision, tough decisions.

I have however known some wonderful men who don't much care about a woman's weight as long as she's not medically obese. And also a few shallow women who won't date a guy without a 6-pack. So..

And there are many more such statistics where that came from. Men may often be shallow regarding appearance, but women do it with other things, there's no question about that.

It's actually ironic that as women gain more freedom they have much more rigid standards of what is considered attractive.

Forgot to add that in my post. Really, a man living at home is a matter of practicality though, so that counts as less 'shallow' in my book. Basically, house dates and sex are gonna be that much more awkward if the guy's parents are there. It's really like a guy not wanting to be with a woman because she has children - that's not entirely shallow, that's practical, because they realize they don't want to have to deal with children at this stage. I would say a girl who doesn't want a guy who doesn't make 120k a year is shallow.

In some African cultures fat women are considered the most beautiful.. because in such poverty, it is extremely difficult to not be bone-skinny. On the other hand, in Western cultures, it's far too easy to get fat on fat-laden fast food, so thin is beautiful. Many prosperous and developed Asian nations are actually taking after the Western ideals as well, sadly, and taking it one step further even with the poorly regulated diet/detox/slimming pills craze.

The fashion industry are the ones who mainly promote the super skinny image and most straight men couldn't care less about high fashion.

I picked a guy who was unemployed at the time I met him, lived at home. He was decent looking though and tall (5'8) lol, thin but not buff at all. I am Asian so a guy that is 5'8 is actually tall for me and I live in California. He still ended up cheating on me (it was during a 4 day break up but I still count it as cheating since prostitutes were calling him constantly while we were together constantly - and it was with a street prostitute and he got arrested for it) and on top of that he was abusive. Even so I don't want guys that all the other women want (Tall, good looking, rich) because I know I would not able to keep him. I know I am attractive, a size 00, etc however I am boring and not that fun. I wouldn't feel safe with a guy that all the women want; it would make me insecure. Edited February 24, 2011 by J200

Most men find women who have feminine facial features, and a slim physically fit body to be attractive. The media responds by using women with those features to sell products, and get people to watch ads. A small percentage of the male population finds fat women to be attractive, and slim women to be unattractive. The percentage is too small for the media to use fat women for entertainment and selling tools. Guys preferred 'types' are simple, and break down into these categories (and a few others.) 1.) Slim, fit woman, proportional body. 2.) Curvy, fit woman. Large breasts, butt, and hips. 3.) Slim, fit woman. Large butt that is out of proportion with the rest of the body. 4.) Slim, fit woman. Large breast that are out of proportion with the rest of the body. Those are the top 4 types. If you're a woman built like one of those types, then you will do extremely well with men. 5.) Chubby, unfit, but proportional body. 6.) Chubby, unfit, body not proportional. 5 and 6 a pretty common, but not that in demand. 7.) Massively overweight women. Only a very small percentage of the population is attracted to 7. And there you have it.
