To all my friends at Love Shack, I mentioned about 6 weeks ago that I would be having surgery on my left foot for several ailments which have been making my life miserable for some time. Well, that time has finally come. Wednesday morning 2/23/2011, I will be going under the knife to hopefully correct an insidious condition which is not only painful in my foot but impinges nerves causing annoying symptoms that stretch all the way up my back and into my neck on the left side. It's taken a long time to fine a doctor who has identified all the contributing factors and assures me that he can address them in this one surgery. I am impressed that he knows what he's doing and will deliver final blow to rid me of this scourge forever.

 

If all goes as I envision, I will be set to hit the gym soon and begin a new campaign to turn the lumbering hulk that I currently am into the scintillating hunk encased beneath the flab. :p

 

I expect I'll be posting a little less for a while as it will be a little difficult to sit at the computer, and I will need to keep my foot elevated so not to invite swelling. Surgery is about 30 hours away. Be well my friends. I'll be thinking about you.

Thank you Flo. I'm about to get picked up for the surgery any minute. I can't believe this day has finally come. Waiting has taken its toll on my patience. I'll be a new man in my next post.

Waiting sucks! But, hopefully by now you're in recovery, all woozed up from the anethestic, saying funny stuff..

Your finally going to have your foot surgically removed from your mouth :laugh:... kidding...

 

Hope all goes well FF and do what they tell you to do to take care of it afterwards.. even the Physical Therapy..

Thanks for the well wishes folks. So far so good. It's a real pain getting around though. It will be a few weeks before I'll be able to tell how successfull this was. I still have some symptoms. But maybe they'll lessen when the swelling goes away.
